With the kind of winter we are having, we are all a little curious about how much longer it will be until spring! What better way to find out than to wait for Groundhog Day! We read Go To Sleep Groundhog today. We talked about the legend of Groundhog Day and what it means to see a shadow. Afterwards we made our own groundhogs. We will use them next week when we observe Groundhog Day prior to the official day!
Our Groundhogs helped us with our color recognition, fine motor control, direction following, and retelling of stories.
We even checked out our own shadows!
